Hello dear listeners!
Last week the launching of the brand new Environmental Humanities Network took place at Humanisten. So this week we have the honour to share a fantastic lecture in english by Professor Poul Holm, who is the Trinity Long Room Hub Professor of Environmental History at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and President of the European Consortium of Humanities Institutes and Centres. The lecture is called Big data, big questions – humanities for the environment.
Here is a picture of the Bretherton diagram to simplify the part where Professor Holm talks about the physical climate system:
Introducing this keynote speaker and addressing the importance of environmental humanities is Christine Hansen, who is the coordinator for the network and an historian with cross-disciplinary interests in critical heritage studies and the environmental humanities. She has an Honours degree in Aboriginal Studies from UWS and completed her PhD in History at the Australian National University in 2010.
Have a good listen and have a great day!
